When you transfer a domain to or away from Godaddy, you will need to get the authorization code so that the domain can be fully moved away.
Every domain that exists has a Authorization Code or EPP Code.
If you are transferring a domain away from Godaddy, here are instructions on where to get it.
1. Login to your account.
2. Once in, look on the leftside margin under MY PRODUCTS.
3. Click on “Domain Manager” – do not click on “My Domains”.
4. When you see a list of all your domains, click directly on the domain you are transferring away.
When the next screen loads, look on the leftside margin just below the little icons.
About the 5th or 6th sentence below the icons will say EMAIL AUTHORIZATION CODE.
If you click that, it will be sent to the Administrative Email address currently assigned to the domain.
Be sure to unlock the domain too so the domain can be moved.
