How To Change The ARECORD (A Record) At Godaddy

Do you need to change the ARECORD (aka A Record) at Godaddy.com?  Not sure how or where you should do this at?

Follow these simple steps:

1. Login to your Godaddy account.
2. Once in, look on the leftside margin under MY PRODUCTS.
3. Click on “Domain Manager”  – do not click on my domains.
4. When you see a list of all your domains, click directly on the domain you need to change the ARECORD on.
5. When the next page load look in the middle of the screen (lower below the header) for TOTAL DNS.
6. Click on the blue link that says TOTAL DNS CONTROL
7. When the next page loads, under the “A HOST”, look to the far right of that line and you will see an icon of a piece of paper & pencil.
8. Click on the icon of the piece of paper & pencil.
9. When the popup loads, delete the other IP address and then type the IP Address to the one you need. Don’t change anything else!!!

For example your IP address should look something like: 174.22.98.101

When you are done typing in your IP, click “OK”.

Then click on the DOMAINS tab on the top left corner to take you back to the previous screen.

That’s it. Now you just need to give it about 24 hours to up.
