GoDaddy FTP Settings

Do you need your GoDaddy FTP Settings?

First let me explain what ftp settings are.  When you set up hosting with Godaddy, you created a username and a password.

This login information is different from your normal Godaddy Admin Login.

It is only for the hosting (i.e. your website).

If you forgot this information, then we can show you how to obtain it again.

Follow these steps:

1. Login to your godaddy account.
2. Once in, look on the leftside margin under MY PRODUCTS.
3. Click on HOSTING. If you don’t see any white links directly under MY PRODUCTS, then click on MY PRODUCTS and white links should show up.
4. Once you click on HOSTING, the next page will load.

The FTP username and password are located in 2 different locations.

5. click directly on your domain name that we are needing the ftp settings for. You’ll notice on the rightside margin your username will appear. Besure to write it down.  Your Hosting IP address is also listed there.  You may need that too, so write it down also.
6. Once you have that, then look back to the middle of the page again where your domain name is.
7. Look about 2 inches to the right of your domain name itself and click on the link that says MANAGE ACCOUNT.
8. Once this next page loads, click on the tab up near the top that says STATISTICS.
9. Once you click on STATISTICS a new pages load that says something about having the password emailed to you. Click on that link to get your ftp password emailed to you.

That is all you need. If you also were told you needed your Hosting IP address, then go when you were on step 5 above looking for your username the IP address was listed just below your username.
